Adventures in Marketing 3

Lots of happenings this spring!  April 7th was a book signing at Alaskana Raven & Books for First Friday.  It was downtown in the Coop Plaza, It was a great turn out and fun to see everyone.

April 8th was  the Fabulous Feminist Fundraiser  where I had the book in two silent auctions.  Thanks for those who bid on it.  The proceeds from the fundraiser will help fund a lobbyist in Juneau for women and children issues.

April 15th was the Second Annual Library Foundation Event,   Crossing at Sweet Grass was in the silent auction under “book and coffee with author”  What a great place to give my new bookmarks, it was definitely the right crowd.

Thanks to Hillary King who designed the new bookmarks and poster. She is such a talented artist!

Adventures in Marketing 2

Well it was a great trip in the sun and cruising.  Such an interesting place the Caribbean Islands, it is truly a mixture of world cultures: European, North American, Africia, South American and Pirates.  Always a winds and predictable sea currents to get in and out.   I joined the book club on the boat so I could give out my book cards and show my book.  We decided that of course, I could put the book in the Book Library and so I did.  Crossing at Sweet Grass is sailing the Caribbean back and forth through out the islands.  Sail well my book.

Another Marketing Adventure

Saturday December 10

The Lion’s Holiday Bazaar at the Ken Kunkle Center in Goldstream Valley was fun and festive.  About twelve vendors and lots of Gold Streamers who came in to chat and shop.  There was a silent auction and great bowls of chili for five dollars, all proceeds go to the firework display next week to celebrate Solstice.

Shoppers choose between great selections of beautiful silk scarfs, beaded works, northern light pictures, colorful artistic posters, snowshoes, jewelry, soap, food, birch bark frames and of course Crossing at Sweet Grass.  It was an occasion to visit, sell books and be part of the holiday season.

Outside, several young men were in the soccer field stomping down snow so they could play rugby.  Twenty below, three hours of daylight and several young people are outside yelling and having rugby fun.

Rugby outside, music and holiday shopping inside, only in the valley.
